Below is a list of NIRS Consortium Committees.  If interested in volunteering on a committee please email info@nirsconsortium.com your name, committee of interest, and why you are interested in serving on that particular committee.

Accuracy and Quality Committee 
The Accuracy and Quality Committee will review and recommend actions regarding reference methodology, standard techniques for NIRS analysis, reporting, and issues of quality of NIRSC calibrations, performance, and processes. 

Annual Conference Committee 
The Annual Conference Committee will develop the location and agenda for the annual conference(s) with all related activities, including an annual membership meeting, within the conference, whether as an independent NIRSC conference or as a conference held in conjunction with other organizations. 

Calibrations Committee 
The Calibrations Committee will organize NIRSC calibration processes and review and recommend new terms, parameters, and products. 

Membership and Education Committee 
The Education and Membership Committee will increase knowledge and understanding of NIRS to members and the public concerning NIRS methods and procedures, increase membership participation, and market the organization. The Committee will also address any membership issues or inquiries.

Executive Committee 
The Executive Committee will consist of the President, Vice-President, and Treasurer, with the Executive Director participating. The Executive Committee may include by invitation Ex-Officio or Advisors who are former Executive Committee members. 

Finance Committee 
The Finance Committee will review all income and expenditures of the NIRSC. It will prepare an annual budget, establish fees, recommend fee changes and adjustments, develop long term financial plans, and make recommendations regarding any financial contractual agreements involving the NIRSC.   

Instrument Committee 
The Instrument Committee will oversee development of process for multiple platforms of NIRSC instrumentation.

Intellectual Property Committee 
The Intellectual Property Committee will establish actions and principles to safeguard NIRSC property and ownership.
